Maidenroid: Imai

another BIONILUG build challenge, and this time also a collab! this month we had to use part 90661 , the basic CCBS foot piece.
the collab part of this was pioneered by cement addiction, who had the idea to use this as an excuse to build some 'Maidenroids' inspiredd by IBK - one of the the most prolific modern constraction builders. IBK tends to use the CCBS foot pieces as thighs for characters, so it seemed like a fun way to reference their work.
it was fun trying to make a more human, flowy character. a lot of my builds lately have been more cutesy or distorted so this was a nice change of pace. i think i ended up kinda going against IBK's design principles with a lot of my decisions though - IBK's stuff always looks highly detailed and very poseable, which my build isn't really :p. i guess thats part of the fun though - bringing your own interpretations and aesthetics to the table. i don't really have any fun wip pics to post this time as i kinda just build Imai all in one go. instead check out the rest of the collab!
